{October 28, 2015}   “Some things I Built”

Whilst I am putting material together for my next few blog’s I thought you might like to see some of what I have done, with summer on our doorstep and no trees in my back yard some ideas very quickly came to mind on how I could provide  much-needed shade for my pet’s using materials that I already have like this unused umbrella turned into a mini cat pergola with some pavers in the middle under shade will be cool to sit on with plenty of water surrounding them it’s different and it works.

The brick surround will also be something they can sit in as I continue to fill it with hundreds of kilo’s of soil and watch my beautiful, but very delicate snowball tree grow into a more shaded area simple ideas that become effective.

If you look through most of my posts you will see that I have only written about my then passion in life of which was driving school and all about saving lives at the beginning of my story back in 2012 this was all about teaching people how to take care of themselves on our roads and making sure they were equipped with good handling skills, but due to much false public litigation and boyfriends who proved to know nothing about my credits and background in life and years of abuse I found this no longer something I wanted to pursue and retired from that industry in 2002,sadly I am now watching too many of you total your vehicles through lack of control and ability to even be on our roads or you are destroying yourselves with drugs, guns knives and any other means of self-harm you can get your hands on.

My research of years and years of teaching/training courses /and being able to take on and re-train road accident trauma victims ended with much success in development skills for these people with the oldest being 82 and wanting to get back on the road /a person had to earn getting a license under my supervision and not before they were ready although when you get some telling you they have already booked their license test themselves and only need one lesson you immediately know that their choice is out of your hands because in every case they need more training and Instructors have very little choice other than to apply themselves to those requests I rarely accepted these excuses and suggested they call another driving school because I did not want their problems hands down, and was not going to take responsibility for any accidents they may have had due to lack of hours or training.I was well-known to VicRoads working with many subjects that involved road safety had spoken on many radio stations to help guide those who found driving a task and were often in trouble, much to their delight I always found teaching a natural skill of mine but somewhat different to other instructors where I had a mountain  of knowledge from the motoring industry surrounding myself 100% with strategy always wanting to help solve issues for those who struggled and with positive outcomes, each person knew that if I was unable to bring the best out in them of which was never the case they knew they would lack the confidence they required to be out there driving all alone.

This is why I was being paid more than other instructors and had many skills than the average bod they were charging just $15-per lesson back then what on earth could anyone learn at that price and for such little money as the costs took more than that to run  a vehicle if I had been on the opposite side wanting to learn would I have have paid another instructor a mere $15-and expect to have been trained properly ??? not on your life my words would have been is this your best effort for training skills and this brings to mind the jealousy I saw from other driving school mates ??? and the fact that I challenged RACV here in Melbourne for a particular method of training that their driving school teachers had to teach if they worked for RACV called the henna method straight from England and this is one of the reasons I was attacked by my own industry where they told people I was a bad teacher and could not train, which is far from the truth.

In my experience and in every case of a driving school client who had come to me from RACV and other schools who was teaching this method  I don’t care how big and bold you think you are these kids had No Skills and were totally confused as to what they should be doing however once their driving style was changed where they then had developed much-needed handling skills there were no further problems and both client and myself were happy with the outcome.

This method is not suited to Australian conditions nor is it a method that should be taught at all the videos of people being taught from England of which I have watched plenty of where their own people were called fools and hopeless is very downgrading as many think that what you are doing is correct when it’s not ,but I will just keep watching the carnage as it has no effect on me anymore .I am glad to sit back and watch you make the same mistakes time after time and suggest that next time someone makes a claim to Insurance companies for a car accident that’s if they survive that you start taking data on who trained them and what type of experience they had before getting on our roads not to mention the hours required which should be around 500 at least that’s what my research says instead of the recommended 120 from TAC of which they determined from my repeated phone calls where I kept telling them more hours are needed then one person looked up my theory and found that Sweden were doing similar research unbeknown to myself and so arose the 120 hours from TAC when this person discovered that I knew what he had done he left TAC and they took the credit for that campaign also another driving school benefitted from my driving school banner by registering the words ( A Grade ) on its own when they had no a grade teachers of which earned them a small fortune.I’m tickled pink that they could learn so much from myself how could I ever be angry.

These pictures were taken because of a promotion that I ran at one of the Whittlesea shows in 1992 where two lucky clients were given a fast ride around one of my favourite places Calder Park Raceway formally owned by the very talented former race car driver Mr. Bob Jane the weather was a typical Melbourne rainy day.
